Zach Sanger, PhD is a Senior Scientist within Medtronic’s Neuromodulation Research and Technology team. Dr. Sanger earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota with an emphasis on neuromodulation and bioelectrical engineering. His prior research work has spanned computational modeling, pre-clinical, and clinical trials investigating optimization of DBS for epilepsy, real-time closed-loop systems, novel electrodes therapies, electrode-tissue interfaces, and processing of neural signals. At Medtronic, Dr. Sanger’s work focuses on developing next-generation DBS features tailored to patient specific needs.
