Associate Professor/ Director of the Neuromodulation Research
University of Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
Dr. Salavatian is a scientist specializing in neurocardiology and cardiac neuromodulation therapy. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Montreal (UdeM) and completed postdoctoral training at the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a Master of Engineering in Computer and Electrical Engineering, he integrates engineering techniques into his medical research. For the past 10 years, his research has primarily focused on studying neural remodeling within the autonomic nervous system in heart diseases incuding atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction and heart failure investigating potential neuromodulation therapies for cardiac conditions.
