Efrain I. Cubillo, MD, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, Fellowship Trained Interventional Pain Specialist and Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine in the greater Tucson, AZ community. Dr. Cubillo is currently a managing partner and ASC medical director at the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona, conveniently located throughout Tucson, Green Valley, San Tan Valley and Benson, Arizona. He has been practicing for nine years and currently specializes in pain medicine treatments. A native Arizonian, Dr. Cubillo completed medical school at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. During his time in medical school, Dr. Cubillo was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society — the highest academic honor in medical school — and was elected by his peers to receive the Gold Humanism Award for humanistic care. Upon graduation in 2011, Dr. Cubillo completed his anesthesiology residency at the Mayo Clinic and completed an interventional pain management fellowship at the Harvard Medical School Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
