Dr. Sahar Elyahoodayan is a neural engineer with over 10 years of experience developing implantable neuromodulation systems and leading preclinical in vivo studies. She received her Ph.D. in Neural Engineering from the University of Southern California, where she developed next-generation neural interface technologies. She currently serves as Center Director of the NIH-funded Center for Autonomic Nerve Recording and Stimulation Systems (CARSS), where she leads cross-disciplinary teams in developing open-source implantable platforms to accelerate translation of bioelectronic medicine therapies. Her expertise spans neuromodulation system design, electrode development, large-animal translational studies, and regulatory-aligned medical device development.
