Ibrahım Asik, MD FIPP, faculty member of Multidisciplinary Subspecialty Pain Medicine program and Algology Department in Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Ankara University and his medical and interventional techniques in Pain Management training from Ankara University and University of Michigan in USA. A nationally and internationally renowned Pain Management expert, Dr Asik is amongst the well known pain physicians in Turkey. He is mostly interested in intradiscal decompression techniques, epiduroscopic procedures and neuromodulation therapies.
Dr Asik is a member of World Institute of Pain and International Neuromodulation Society. He is the founder member of Turkish Neuromodulation Society and served as Board of Directors many years. He is co-founder of World Institute of Pain Registered Turkish section and serving as a co-chair right now. He was also in the board of directors of Turkish Pain Society. Dr Asik was also among the Board of FIPP/CIPS examinations of WIP society and organizer of the last FIPP/CIPS examination in Istanbul for the previous for years (2018-2025). He is also among the organization commitee in International Pain Istanbul meetings for the last 7 years.
