Specializing in the use of cutting-edge technologies for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and mobility limiting disorders, Dr. Odonkor is double board certified in Pain Medicine and Physiatry. He is a Yale (medical school), Johns Hopkins (residency) and Harvard (fellowship)-trained physician with training in Physiatry, Pain Medicine, Advanced Interventional Spine & Regenerative Medicine. He is currently an assistant professor of orthopedics & rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine and co-director of clinical research.
His research focuses on physical activity, functional clinical outcomes in neuromodulation, and utilization of mobile applications and wearable health technology to monitor mobility and performance in chronic pain and mobility-limiting musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Odonkor is well-published in top tier peer reviewed journals with over 90 publications and served as PI for several multi-institutional clinical trials. He is an active member of International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Pain & Neuroscience, and the North American Spine Society, among others. He serves on the research committee for IPSIS and previously on committees for NANS, AAPMR and AAPM.
He is passionate about bringing novel advanced technologies to enhance the quality of life of individuals living with chronic pain.
