Corey W. Hunter, M.D. is an interventional pain management physician practicing in New York City, holding board certifications in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. In addition to owning his own private practice, he is an assistant clinical professor of PM&R at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and is also the Immediate Past President of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS).
Dr. Hunter's areas of interest include CRPS, pelvic pain, facial pain, regenerative medicine as well as neuromodulation.
Dr. Hunter earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at NYU followed by a Pain Medicine fellowship at the Weill Cornell Medical Center. Shortly after graduating from his fellowship, Dr. Hunter went on to found the Ainsworth Institute of Pain Management in New York City.
Dr. Hunter continues to be active in research, serving as the principal investigator on a number of clinical trials on emerging neuromodulation technologies and regenerative medicine. Dr. Hunter has over 100 publications to his credit including a textbook on regenerative medicine and intrathecal pump therapy.
