Jeffrey L. Rogers, Ph.D. is Global Research Leader for Digital Health and a Distinguished Scientist at IBM Research. Over more than two decades in science and technology leadership across industry (IBM, Google, and HRL Labs), government (DARPA), and academia (Caltech), he has developed AI- and sensor-based systems for neuromodulation, pain management, sleep, and brain health. Dr. Rogers led the creation of closed-loop spinal cord stimulation platforms and the development and fielding of the Blast Gauge, which established that the primary TBI risk to service members is blast overpressure, with most exposures occurring in training environments. He currently co-leads the Cleveland Clinic–IBM Discovery Accelerator, advancing AI and closed-loop systems for neurodegenerative diseases and mental health. He holds a Ph.D. from Georgia Tech and an M.S. from Emory University.
