Jennifer Sweet, MD, FAANS, FACS is a neurosurgeon and Director of Movement Disorder Surgery and Psychiatric Surgery, as well as Co-Director of Pain Surgery and Neuromodulation at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She is the Sheila and Sandy Fox Master Clinician in Neurosurgery and Professor of Neurological Surgery and Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Sweet’s interests include neuromodulation of the central and peripheral nervous system for neurological, psychiatric, and cognitive disorders.
Dr. Sweet is the clinical principal investigator of the ReHAB study (REstoring Hand and Arm to Brain) and the co-investigator of several other clinical trials that meaningfully impact diverse diseases using cutting-edge technologies. Dr. Sweet has held many leadership positions in organized neurosurgery, including Vice President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, President of the Neurosurgery Pain Section, President of Women in Neurosurgery, Board of Directors of the Association of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Board of Directors of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Chair of the Neurosurgery Guidelines, and Chair of the Joint Guidelines Review Committee for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. She serves as an editor of Neurosurgery and a reviewer for several other scientific journals.
