Shayne Hastings is a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota. Under the mentorship of her advisor, Dr. Esther Krook-Magnuson, she is investigating how electrical stimulation of the cerebellum can be used to suppress hippocampal seizures in a preclinical model of epilepsy. Through her research, she aims to renew interest in the cerebellum as a promising target for neuromodulation therapies.
