Dr. Robin Mata is a physiatrist and is completing an interventional pain fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Recognized for both clinical excellence and academic productivity, Dr. Mata was named Outpatient Resident of the Year and currently holds the record for the Highest Number of research points in her residency program history. She serves on multiple professional society committees focused on research and education in the neuromodulation space, including as the Social Media Chair for Women in Neuromodulation (WIN). Furthermore, she is a committed contributor to the WIN Mentorship Mastermind Program, actively recruiting new members, developing core content, and participating in a mentorship group of trainees and PhD candidates.
Her research interests focus on improving safety and patient outcomes through clinical neuromodulation research. She has authored multiple publications, including original research on risk factor reduction in spinal cord stimulation, book chapters on spine anatomy and neuromodulation devices, and contributions to evidence-based guidelines that inform clinicians' decision-making.
